Empire Games Has Closed Its Doors!

Saturday morning I woke up early and decided to take a drive with the kids to Mesa, AZ and visit one of my favorite game stores in the valley.

After driving over to the other side of the valley I was disheartened to learn that empire games has closed its doors forever.

Omni-Dynamics Systems on the Rise!

Like so many Directorate corporations, OmniDyne thrives on creating conflict, which will inevitably generate new markets for its lethal products. However, Nerivar and his managerial board are not fools. OmniDyne keeps all of its most effective weapons and defensive technology very firmly to itself. To that end my I introduce the next generation of the OmniDyne Special Operations (OSO) Company Fleet.

Never known to turn down a contract, they require only that their customers pay good money up front, and exercise a strong moral ambivalence towards how they get the job done. Modularity and replication is a key part of any vessel build for the OSO and many of their ships feature a standardized build, allowing fleets operating far afield to be readily maintained.

The OSO Patrol Fleet features the Executive Class Battleship, a solid and dependable Tier 1 vessel which can anchor its fleet while Auditor Class Gunships wreak havoc on the enemy, supported by Synergy Class Corvettes.

Inside an OmniDyne Patrol Fleet you receive 1 x Executive Class Battleship, 2 x Auditor Class Gunships, 6 x Synergy Class Corvettes, 9 x acrylic flight stands, 2 x Large SRS Tokens and 2 x Small SRS Tokens.

The gigantic Foundry Class Dreadnought forms the basis of the OSO Dreadnought Group, a monstrous weapon of war designed to act as a mobile control and command centre for OSO fleets operating far from their home systems.

Inside an OmniDyne Dreadnought Group you receive 1 x Foundry Class Dreadnought, 2 x Synergy Class Corvettes, 3 x acrylic flight stands, 2 x Large SRS Tokens and 2 x Small SRS Tokens.

An ideal add-on to any Patrol Fleet, the Reinforcement Group gives commanders a wealth of choice, with options to add Synergy Class Corvettes, Representative Class Light Cruisers or Paradigm Class Escort Carriers to their force.

Inside an OmniDyne Reinforcements Group Fleet you get 6 x Synergy Class Corvettes, 4 x Representative Class Light Cruisers, components to modify Light Cruisers into Escort Carriers, 10 x acrylic flight stands, 2 x Large SRS Tokens and 2 x Small SRS Tokens.

The OmniDyne Support Group provides further choices for expansion, with Synergy Class Corvettes, and up to two squadrons of Leverage Class Cruisers, a well-pointed, aggressive complement to the Patrol Fleet's Auditor Class Gunships.

Inside an OmniDyne Support Group you receive 6 x Synergy Class Corvettes, 4 x Leverage Class Cruisers and 10 x acrylic flight stands.

These four new boxed sets are making their way onto the shelves in June 2016, giving you a huge choice for how to next expand and customize your Firestorm Armada fleets.

The Devious Syndicate!

The Syndicate is one of the more shadowy factions in the Firestorm Armada Galaxy. This mercenary 'crime family' has only flourished since it was created by the devious Tauris Vylia'sal and his underhanded political scheming.

Wraith Class Gunship

Phantom Battleship

Unlike other factions, the Syndicate Traders League, or STL, use a Battlecruiser (the Spur Class) at the heart of its Patrol Fleet, supported by gunships and frigates. The ability to use this as a building block allows STL forces to easily scale up to deal with larger fights. And when more firepower is needed a Battleship Group can be rolled in, which has the devastating Phantom Class at its core and even more frigates thrown in for good measure.

Syndicate Patrol Fleet (FAMP20)

The Syndicate Traders League (STL) Patrol Fleet has been designed to be light on its feet and rapidly deployed to deal with any incursion into space controlled by this faction. The highly capable Spur Class Battlecruiser takes up the Tier 1 slot on this fleet, bringing with it plenty of firepower and flexibility. Whilst not the most devastating spaceship in the Firestorm Galaxy, few rival its all-round capability in battle. Two Wraith Gunships add more violence to this Patrol Fleet, and 5 Shadow Class Frigates round things off. The Shadows can be fielded in a maximum of 3 to a Squadron, which allows players to field 1 full strength and 1 slightly under-strength Squadron OR take 2 of the Frigates and attach them to the Spur Class.

Syndicate Battleship Group (FAMP21)

Although designated as a Battleship, the Phantom Class was redesigned by head of the STL family, Tauris Vylia'sal, with the sole purpose of intimidating any foe that stands before it. In truth the superstructure of this vessel is more akin to that of a Dreadnought, but it sits as a Battleship in the Tier 1 fleet building structure. As a result of its bulk, the Phantom certainly packs the punch of such a vessel, and is majestic to behold in battle as it swoops in to destroy its foes. The addition of 5 Shadow Class Frigates allows 2 vessels to be attached to a Phantom and the remaining 3 create their own Squadron.
